The problem
Money leaves your account every month and nobody notices
Subscriptions are designed to be forgotten: charged automatically, no paper invoice, nobody asking whether you still use them.
Try it
Paste a statement. See what Renlio finds.
No account. No download. Pick a sample statement, or paste your own — every calculation runs inside this browser.
One transaction per line: date, description, amount. Renlio detects the columns itself, even when a running balance column is present.
Analysis runs 100% in your browser. No network request carries your statement — open the Network tab in DevTools and check for yourself.
Analysis results
Which cycles and formats does Renlio recognise?
| Cycle | Days between charges | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | 6–8 | News, meal plans |
| Every 2 weeks | 12–16 | Data top-ups |
| Monthly | 25–35 | Netflix, Spotify, gym |
| Quarterly | 84–98 | Hosting, insurance |
| Every 6 months | 172–195 | Course access |
| Yearly | 348–382 | Domains, Amazon Prime |
Renlio reads CSV, TSV and Excel exports from most banks and cards, detecting the date, description, amount and balance columns on its own. It understands both dd/mm/yyyy and mm/dd/yyyy dates, and both 260.000 and 15.99 number formats. A charge only counts as a subscription when it repeats at least twice on a regular cycle with amounts within 35% of each other.
Data sources
Four ways to get subscriptions into Renlio
No single source sees everything. Renlio combines all four — and whatever is still missing, you add by hand.
Add by hand
Best for: Plans that never touch a card
A gym paid in cash, a plan split with friends, a service billed through an e-wallet. Type the name, amount, cycle and next renewal date — about 30 seconds. This is also how you add anything Renlio did not find.
Import a statement
Best for: Finding the most plans
Upload a CSV, Excel or PDF bank and card statement. Renlio looks for charges that repeat on a cycle, so it catches plans that never send a confirmation email. You can try it in the section above.
Watch Gmail
Best for: Hands-off, keeps itself current
Connect Gmail or Outlook once and Renlio picks up new receipts and updates renewal dates on its own. Renlio requests read access to find receipt emails; it cannot send or delete anything.
Forward receipts
Best for: Not granting inbox access
Renlio gives you your own address. Forward a receipt there and you are done — Renlio only ever sees the emails you deliberately send, nothing else in your inbox.
Dashboard
Every subscription cost on one screen
Monthly and yearly totals, the full list of plans you are on, and upcoming charges ordered by date.
Features
What Renlio does with that data
You confirm, not the AI
Every plan detected from a statement or an email goes through a review screen with a confidence score. You keep, edit or drop each line before Renlio saves anything.
Total-cost dashboard
Monthly and yearly subscription totals, all four sources merged into one list, sortable by amount or by next renewal date.
Warned before the charge
An email a few days before a plan is billed, so you can still decide to keep or cancel — instead of finding out after the money is gone.
Security & privacy
Renlio does not ask for access it does not use
An app that reads bank statements has to prove it is safe, not just say so. Here is what Renlio does and does not do.
- No bank login
- Renlio never asks for your internet banking password or an OTP code. You hand it a statement file you exported yourself.
- Analysis on your device
- The demo on this page reads and analyses your statement entirely in JavaScript, in your browser. No network request carries the file contents.
- No card numbers stored
- Renlio only needs the date, description and amount of a transaction. Card and account numbers are not stored anywhere.
- Delete everything in one click
- You can remove all of your data from Renlio at any time, without emailing a request or waiting for approval.
- Minimal Gmail access
- Renlio only requests read access to find receipt emails; it cannot send or delete messages. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account security settings — or skip it entirely and forward receipts instead.
- Your data is not for sale
- Renlio does not sell, share or trade your spending data with any third party.

FAQ
What people ask before trusting Renlio
Does Renlio need my internet banking password?
No. Renlio never asks for a password, an OTP code or any banking credential. You upload a statement file exported from your banking app, or paste a few transaction lines into the page.
Is my statement uploaded to a server?
The analysis on this page runs entirely in your browser: the file is read by JavaScript on your own machine, and no network request carries its contents. You can verify this in the Network tab of DevTools.
What about plans I pay in cash or through an e-wallet?
You add those by hand. Type the service name, amount, cycle and next renewal date, and Renlio counts it in your total and reminds you like any other plan. A card statement cannot see cash, so adding by hand is how your list becomes genuinely complete.
If I connect Gmail, what can Renlio see?
Renlio requests read access to find receipt emails and cannot send or delete messages; you can revoke it at any time in your Google account security settings. If you would rather not grant inbox access, use forwarding instead: Renlio gives you your own address and only ever sees the emails you deliberately send there.
Which banks and file formats does Renlio support?
Renlio reads CSV, TSV and Excel exports from most banks and credit cards, detecting the date, description, amount and balance columns automatically. The demo on this page accepts CSV and pasted text, including Vietnamese statements that use dots as thousands separators and dd/mm/yyyy dates.
What if Renlio gets it wrong?
Every subscription Renlio finds has to pass through your review before it is saved. Each one carries a confidence score based on how many times it repeated, how regular the cycle is, and how stable the amount is — so you know which ones to double-check. Renlio does not trust the machine blindly.
Does Renlio cancel subscriptions for me?
No. Renlio detects, totals and reminds; cancelling is something you do on the provider's own site. Renlio has no access to your accounts at those services.
Is Renlio really free?
Yes. Subscription detection, the total-cost dashboard and payment reminders are all free, with no credit card required.
